Ohio Arts Council

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.

The Ohio Arts Council was created in 1965 to foster and encourage the development of the arts and assist the preservation of Ohio's cultural heritage. With funds from the Ohio Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the OAC provides financial assistance to artists and arts organizations. The Council accomplishes this charge in two primary methods: first, through the various grant funding programs that the Council operates to provide support to artists and to make arts activities available to a broad segment of Ohio's public; and secondly, by providing services that help to enhance the growth of the arts.

Ohio Wine Producers Association

The warmth of the sun. The rolling slope of a hillside. A refreshing rain shower. Time tested vines, bulging clusters of succulent grapes -- all gathered and crafted in the gentle hands of a skilled winemaker. Many notes come together to create the symphony of a vintage wine. Similarly, stretching over three centuries, many dedicated hearts and sharp minds have shaped and nurtured the Ohio Wine Industry we know and embrace today.

Wine people appear in all shapes and sizes, from all walks of life, with a variety of motivations. Some appear, make an imprint and leave us. Others are lifers. All who touch this industry and its people contribute in some great or subtle way to the harmony of our lives and livelihood.

It is with this understanding that the board of directors of the Ohio Wine Producers Association have established the Ohio Wine Hall of Fame. Our purpose is to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals to the wine industry in Ohio, to gain recognition for the excellence in our industry, and to encourage future leaders.

Rivers Unlimited

Rivers Unlimited is an Ohio statewide organization created to protect and restore rivers. We're the oldest in the nation, founded in 1972, at a time when rivers were covetously regarded by dam builders and channelizers, threatening the health of our waterways and the people whose farms, homes, and livelihoods depend on them. Rivers Unlimited was founded in 1972 to work for the restoration and protection of Ohio's rivers and streams. It is the nation’s oldest statewide river conservation group. It’s founders and like-minded conservationists founded River Network, the national umbrella organization. For forty-two years, RU has worked with citizens to cultivate grassroots stewardship of their waterways.
